Il regista David Ayer ha inserito nel film un easter egg dedicato a John Ostrander, creatore della versione anni ’80 della Suicide Squad.
John Ostrander è il fumettista che ha creato la seconda versione della Suicide Squad, quella introdotta nella miniserie Legends, uscita tra il 1986 e il 1987.
Ostrander è stato omaggiato all’interno del film con un easter egg molto particolare: in alcune scene vedremo infatti il John F. Ostrander Federal Building, una strizzata d’occhio che sarà sicuramente apprezzata dai fan del fumetto.
