Lo spin-off si chiamerà “Jesus Rolls“, sarà scritto, diretto e interpretato da John Turturro e seguirà le avventure di Jesus Quintana dopo la fine de Il Grande Lebowski.

I fratelli Coen non sono coinvolti nel progetto, ma avrebbero dato la loro benedizione a Turturro. Tra gli attori già confermati ci sono Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, Jon Hamm, Susan Sarandon e Pete Davidson.

Turturro ha dichiarato:

It feels like a good time to release a transgressive film about the stupidity of men who try and fail and try better to understand and penetrate the mystery of women, I look forward to working with Screen Media and bring our work and the character of the Jesus to American audiences.

Il film dovrebbe arrivare nelle sale americane ad inizio 2020. Non ci sono ancora informazioni sulla distribuzione e uscita in Italia.
