GUIDE

Assassin’s Creed Arm Blade DIY

I know: life sucks) per la costruzione.

This is an arm blade I fashioned after the arm-blade seen in “Assassin’s Creed.” It’s a bit complex, but if you’re not afraid to get messy and make some mistakes then check the link below for detailed build instructions. Be safe and have fun. (WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!!!)

*NOTE* Before you read any further, know that I do encourage creative endeavors, but only if you’re not going to use what I have provided to hurt anyone.

List of tools:
– Dremel with: * Cutting disks *NOTE* Several passes will need to be made with the cutting disks as they have a habit of breaking when too much pressure is applied. * Brass brush bit for polishing off burrs * Metal grinding bit for drilling and enlarging holes
– Drill with bits designed for drilling through metal
– A couple large clamps to hold the pieces in place as you cut or drill
them
– A tube of “Thread Locker” for your screwed pieces
– Some grease for the bearing slide

List of materials:
– 1 throwing knife or long thin blade to be mounted
– 1/4″ copper or aluminum tubing
– 2 small brackets to attach the tubing to the side or the rig
– Assorted screws and nuts
– Screw spacers to be used in the rear locking system
– 2 springs * 1 small about 1″ spring for the rear locking system * 1 larger about 2 1/2″-3″ spring as found on a screen door
– 2 industrial strength velcro straps (cheapest at Walmart)
– Some scrap rubber matt to be between your arm and the rig.
– 3 small L-Brackets that will need to be cut with a dremel
– A small spring assisted door hinge or something stronger to lock the blade once it is fired. *NOTE* You will need a small amount of heavy gage wire to attach to one side of your door-hinge in order to unlock
to blade and retract it.
– 1 small drawer slide with bearing slide *NOTE* you may need to cut part of the drawer slide to make it the appropriate length to fit your arm. You will also need to cut out a small opening where you will attach your “Spring-Assisted Door Hinge” to keep the blade in place once extended. You will also need to drill several holes into the bed of the drawer slide where you will attach your locking system, forward L-bracket, metal tubing, door hinge, rubber matt and velcro straps.
– 1 5″-6″ mending plate
– 1 Large mending plate to be cut into your custom locking plate
*NOTE* Your custom locking plate needs to have a hook at the rear to connect with the locking system, and another hook on the side where you will attach your larger spring for the firing system
– About 2′ of thin picture hanging wire
– A small key-ring

*NOTE* This model is a prototype (More or less the PROP version), and the forward locking system is not as strong as I would like it to be. The next one will have all the bugs worked out. Also this is not to be used to hold up a gas-station, perform a bris, abort a baby, kill your annoying neighbor, or his cursed dog. This is purely for those who like to tinker, and are up for a challenge. I will not be held responsible for any physical injury you suffer by attempting to create your own weapon. If you feel like changing the design then by all means do so and hopefully it will work for you. Again have fun and be safe. (WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!!!)[/more]
