Il professor Geoffrey Beattie che ha lavorato al progetto per la Chevrolet, sostiene che la stretta di mano sia uno degli elementi cruciali per determinare la prima impressione verso una persona sconosciuta, ma che essa valga poi anche come parte della valutazione riguardo al giudizio finale su quella stessa persona.
