Now, the actor who’s portrayed a dancing chimney sweep, a wholesome sitcom father and a level-headed doctor is trying on a new hat: songwriter. With the help of Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith, as well as children’s singer Leslie Bixler, Van Dyke has crafted The Rhythm Train, an album for kids.
